CAD Technician
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The CAD Technician (CADTech) is responsible for providing drafting services in support of commercial, retail, municipal and various other civil engineering projects.

- Project Managers
- Engineers/Designers
- Surveyors
- Field Technicians
- Other CAD Technicians
RESPONSIBILITIES
The specific responsibilities of the CADTech include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drafting for land developement plans, zoning plans, concept plans and construction documents
- Research and obtain standards/codes as required by clients and jurisdiction to accurately and efficiently develop above noted plans
- Accurately complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule
- Integration and understanding of multiple key factors should be considered during the course of design including:
- BFA Drafting Standards
- Municipal Regulations and Requirements
- Client Design Criteria
- Project Specific Design Criteria
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Experience:
- 2 year Associate Degree in Drafting Design
- 3+ years of CAD experience in Civil Engineering production environment (AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 or higher)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects, CAD standards, etc. on a daily basis
- Ability to work overtime and travel as needed
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others
- Field Tech experience is a plus
