Survey Field Technician

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Survey Field Technician is responsible for providing data collection and stake out in support of commercial, retail, municipal and various other civil engineering projects.

  • Other Field Technicians

RESPONSIBILITIES

The specific responsibilities of the Field Tech include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Data Collection and Stake Out for land developement plans, zoning plans, concept plans and construction documents
  • A knowledge of the accuracies and limits of the equipment used and the requirements of the project
  • Accurately complete data collection and stake out responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule
  • Integration and understanding of multiple key factors should be considered during the course of the field work including:
    • BFA Drafting Standards
    • Municipal and Other Permitting Requirements
    • Client Needs and Project Scope
    • The intent of the plan or plat that is being located or staked

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience Preferred:

  • 2 year Associate Degree
  • 3+ years of field experience in a Civil Engineering Environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work overtime and travel as needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others
  • CAD Tech experience is a plus
