BFA is registered to practice as Professional Engineers in more than 20 states and has five Civil Engineers on staff.

Past project work includes shopping center development in which BFA provides topographic and boundary surveys, storm water calculations and drainage design, grading plans, storm sewer layout, parking lot and street design, traffic analysis, and design of detention/retention areas. On many projects, BFA's experienced project managers will attend city meetings on behalf of clients to assist and aid in permit approval and design acceptance.
Away from commercial shopping centers, BFA has performed engineering design services for residential subdivisions, levee's, city parks and trails, small municipal airports, and riverfront accesses (roads, boat ramps, parking and restrooms).
BFA has also been City Engineers and City Surveyors for several mid-Missouri communities; working with them to improve their infrastructures and plan for future needs, develop industrial parks, as well as designing parks and recreation areas.
