Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans(SWPPP)
According to EPA regulations, the National Pollutants Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requires all projects disturbing 1 acre or more of land to implement a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). This is an attempt to reduce or eliminate pollution to our nations waterways due to construction activities.
BFA has gained experience by developing over 50 SWPPP's in 10 states. Along with registered Professional Engineers, we have seven Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). These individuals have undergone detailed training pertaining to the correct design of sediment and erosion control devices. The right plan will keep potential pollutants from leaving the site.
The SWPPP presentation below was created by BFA for our in house training. It begins with a brief review of stormwater regulations and then details all the elements needed for a comprehensive SWPPP.
